Memurai for Redis 8: Redis 8.2-Compatible AI and Performance Now Production-Ready on Windows

Announcing the general availability (GA) of Memurai for Redis 8, bringing Redis 8.2-compatible AI memory and performance to Windows in a fully supported, production-ready release.

Users can now run Redis workloads with RediSearch and RedisJSON natively on Windows, bringing powerful full-text and structured queries, secondary indexing, and rich JSON document storage to their existing infrastructure. Building on this foundation, they can access advanced AI memory features such as vector search, RAG, and machine learning data structures on Windows without compromising compliance, existing infrastructure, or managing cross-platform complexity, while enhanced performance and improved data structures benefit all application workloads.

Memurai for Redis 8 is now available for production deployment, following a Release Candidate program with development teams, system architects, and early adopters who validated the release in their Windows environments.

What's Included in Memurai for Redis 8

With this release, you can:

• Use RediSearch natively on Windows to run powerful full-text and structured queries and build secondary indexes.

• Use RedisJSON natively on Windows to interact with rich JSON documents.

• Build semantic search and recommendation features using Redis 8-compatible vector operations on top of RediSearch.

• Use Vector Sets, a separate Redis 8-compatible module, to power vector similarity search on Windows.

• Deploy RAG systems for short- and long-term memory in Windows applications, combining RedisJSON for document storage with RediSearch for fast context retrieval.

• Use semantic caching in production to improve LLM response times, with the same performance optimizations and data structures benefiting broader workloads.

System Requirements

Memurai for Redis 8 supports all Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop versions, including Windows Server 2016 and later, and Windows 10 and later.

Memurai for Redis 8 is now recommended for production deployment. Users running earlier Memurai versions or RC builds should follow our upgrade guidance to move to GA.
